What should I look for in a Contract for work on my home in Pennsylvania?
Step 8: Reviewing the Formal Quote or Home Improvement Agreement. We'll give you an overview of our agreements and tell you what you should look for from ANY reputable contractor in the state of PA.
After the On-Site Proposal Meeting or Consultation, we're going to provide you with a formal quote, detailing the full scope of work and materials to be used, or we may skip straight to providing you a contract with even more details.
If you don't want to get ripped off, you need to hire a contractor who provides you with a proper contract, in compliance with the
Pennsylvania Home Improvement Consumer Protection Law, act 132 which you can use to hold them accountable, if they fail to meet their obligations. Here's a list of what you should look for.
In this video, we will also walk you through what you can expect to find in our contract, in addition to that which is required by law. Our goal is that when you finish reading the agreement, you are fully aware of the project schedule, how to prepare for our arrival, key things that you can do to help our teams work safely and efficiently that will aid in keeping the project on schedule and on budget, along with all the details regarding payment terms, progress payments, etc. Its important that you read this agreement so that you understand both the services we are offering to provide along with the materials we'll be using, and also, your responsibilities that will help make this a smooth and enjoyable experience as we take the home renovation journey together.
